I’m Erica—a culturally grounded Black woman therapist with specialized training in trauma and somatic psychotherapy, guiding women toward a deeper sense of internal safety and self-connection in Davie, FL. I specialize in supporting high-achieving Millennial Women of Color who carry the weight of emotional exhaustion, self-doubt, and relational trauma, often in silence.

While my primary focus is supporting Millennial Women of Color who are beginning to prioritize their mental and emotional well-being, my practice also serves teens, adults, and older adults seeking somatic, trauma-informed psychotherapy.

Many of the individuals I work with are navigating anxiety, trauma responses, cultural stressors, and long-standing patterns shaped by both personal and collective experiences. My approach is grounded in nervous system regulation, cultural responsiveness, and mind–body healing.

A Mind-Body Approach to Healing

Many therapeutic approaches focus on insight and behavior change. While valuable, these approaches don’t always address how stress and trauma live in the body.

My work integrates somatic (body-based) psychotherapy with evidence-informed modalities to help clients:

  • regulate the nervous system

  • increase emotional and physiological capacity

  • widen the window of tolerance

  • experience safety in their body again

This approach often complements CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapies and is commonly used to prepare clients for deeper trauma work, including EMDR.
